Stuart Weitzman Lockness Sandals in Narrow!

Loving the Stuart Weitzman Lockness

The other day when I was doing a search for women’s narrow sandals I came across the Stuart Weitzman Lockness Sandal in narrow on and I was a happy girl.  Why?  Well, when I look at it, it reminds me so much of the Kork-ease Ava which was so popular back in the late 1970’s-early 1980’s.

My Old Crush, Korke-ease Ava

Do you remember these platform sandals?  I wanted to buy the Ava so very badly, but they were so wide on my long narrow feet that I could have practically fit both feet in one sandal.  Okay, I’m exaggerating, but still they swam on me!  I was so sad!

Then a year or so ago, with all things 1970’s back in vogue, they re-emerged…and I tried them on again, but once again, as I expected, the style of the sandal hadn’t changesd and they still didn’t fit.   Fast forward to today.  I haven’t even tried the Lockness on yet , but I just had to write about them.  To me, they look like a grown-up version of my high-school fav!  Now I’m dreaming of what I’d wear with them.  Something retro-inspired, for sure.

Karen Kane Tassel Tie Emroidered BlouseI’d pair this Karen Kane Tassel Blouse  available at and these 7 for all man kind Dojo Wide Leg  7 For All Mankind Dojo Wide Leg Jeans  from with the Stuart Weitzman Lockness sandals for a 2013 take on 1970’s style.   I’d also add accessories, a fun stringy leather belt and a great bag to complete the outfit.  What do you think of my 70’s look inspired by ‘the Stuart Weitzman Lockness in our narrow width?
